CANS Alert Issued for 10 Year Old Washington Girl
Code Amber News Service (CANS) issued this Missing Endangered person Alert after the girl went missing on Friday evening (06-26) while walking home from a friends house in McCleary Washington. McCleary is a small town of about 1,500 residents and is about 15 miles west of Olympia. There is no evidence of foul play in this case but the FBI is joining the investigation and search today (Monday 06-29). The FBI will also be bringing in additional law enforcement personnel to help in the investigation and search. No Amber Alert has been issued in this case.

AMBER Alert Canceled for 5 Year Old Delaware Boy

The State of Delaware canceled the Amber Alert early Tuesday (06-30) after the boy was found safe in Mt. Laurel New Jersey. The suspect was taken into custody and faces a variety of charges.

The search for Haleigh Cummings resumed Friday on a farm owned by her mother's family. Forty officers from five different agencies scoured property in Baker County looking for the blond-haired Satsuma child missing since February.

Silver Alert program will ease worries about Alzheimer's patients

Early next month, West Virginia's new Silver Alert law goes into effect. Similar to the Amber Alert for children, it establishes procedures for the State Police to activate an alert for missing adults with Alzheimer's disease or other cognitive impairments.

The State of Michigan canceled the Amber Alert early Thursday (6-10) after the remains of a child found along the Raisin river in Raisinville Township on Thursday (6-04) were positively identified as Neviaeh through DNA testing.

Not too long ago, the report of a missing child came into the newsroom. The circumstances of the 12-year-old girl's disappearance appeared alarming. She left home early on a school day morning without her parent's knowledge. A short time later her bike helmet and bike were found abandoned about a block away.
