Amber Alert Canceled for 2 Washington Children

The Washington State Police and the State of Montana canceled the Amber Alert after the children were recovered safe and the suspect taken into custody in Denver on Thursday afternoon. Click for a map of Walla Walla, Washington.

Victim 1, Lars Baugher is described as being a 2 year old White male, Blonde hair, and Green eyes. As of 2000 HRS PT: he was wearing POWDER BLUE SWEATSHIRT JACKET, GREEN and WHITE SHIRT, GRASS GREEN PANTS, AND BLUE TENNIS SHOES. His hair has been cut shorter, and believed to be darker. It is still believed to be blonde in color.

Victim 2, Remi Baugher is described as being a 4 year old white female, Blonde hair, Hazel eyes, 3'1". 37lbs. As of 2000 HRS PT she was last seen wearing SPORTS LOGO JACKET-POSSIBLY REVERSABLE, JEANS, NAVY OR BLACK TENNIS SHOES. Her hair is believed to be cut shorter and darker.

Suspect 1, John Baugher. is described as being a 34 year old male, White with Brown hair, and Green eyes, Weighing (Aprox): 140lbs. Additional information: Has 3-4 days growth of beard, quite heavy and black. Clothing description: 03-27-2007 @ 2000 hrs; Believed to be wearing GREEN ARMY COLORED BUTTON UP SHIRT, GRAY SWEATSHIRT TYPE JACKET AND PANTS.

The suspect vehicle,a 1978 Volkswagon Van with Washington license plate number 349NRK, was located unoccupied in Stevens County Washington on Monday morning. The area is being searched for the suspect and children.
