Frances Cova
17, 5'5", 150 lbs. white female with brown hair. Frances was last seen wearing a long, pink floral print dress and brown sandals.
Frances was found safe on Saturday afternoon. No additional details are available at this time.
Abducted in Fort Lauderdale, FL USA by a white male in his late 20s or early 30s with a scruffy face, a long-sleeved denim shirt and faded blue jeans.
Frances suffers from Angelman's Syndrome and has the mentally capacity of a 5-year-old. She was at Blondie's Bar, 229 S. Atlantic, with her father, Frank Cova, police said. Frances was playing a video game while her father played pool.
Surveillance video from the bar showed that an unidentified man sat down next to her and talked to her on two different occasions. After they spoke the second time, Frances followed the man out of the bar.
Angelman's syndrome is chromosomal disorder involving mental retardation and specific physical abnormalities. Affected children have a happy disposition and laugh frequently and their movements are jerky, according to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation Web site.
