Amber Alert Canceled for 2 Florida Children

The State of Florida canceled the Amber Alert Thursday afternoon (12-16) after the children and their mother were found safe in DeLand. No further information is available at this time.

The State of Florida issued the Amber Alert Thursday (12-16) after the children's mother Threatened to kill herself and the children and left the area of Port Orange. The mother recently found out she has a serious health condition and made the comment to the children's grandmother.

Anthony Dodd, a white male, 5 years old, 4', 71 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Clairra Koontz, a white female, 4 months old with blond hair.

The suspect is Katie Suzanne Thompson, a white female, 20 years old, 5' 5", 200 pounds with brown eyes and blond hair. She was last seen wearing navy blue sweatpants, a mossy oak camouflage jacket, a camouflage jacket, a camouflage baseball hat and black and white sneakers.

The suspect vehicle is a a 2002, black Dodge Durango with Florida tag number AMKF99. It has a front brush guard and a trash bag covering the driver side rear window.
