Amber Alert Canceled Friday July 25

The Maricopa County Sheriff's office canceled the AMBER Alert after the baby was found safe on Friday, July 25.

A 9 month old boy was abducted and his mother shot early Friday in far West Phoenix Arizona.

According to initial reports, that’s where a 9-month-old infant boy was abducted at about 1 a.m., just after his mother, 20-year-old Erica Louise Smith of Mesa, was shot in the abdomen and left critically injured.

Authorities are searching for Steven Lawson, 25, who is 6-foot, 4-inches tall and weighs about 300 pounds.

The boy's mother is expected to survive according to Police who also said she is providing information about the suspect.

The suspect was last seen driving a 1999 Honda which has been recovered in East Phoenix after being set on fire. There was no sign of the baby or the suspect.
