Amber Alert Canceled for 10 Year Old Palmdale California Girl

The CHP canceled the Amber Alert after the girl was found safe in the Antelope Valley area on Wednesday morning. The suspect has been taken into custody.

Sharie Simmons was abducted in Palmdale California on Monday afternoon.

The CHP has activated a local Amber Alert but she has been missing for over 24 hours as of the alert activation. She is a 10 year old Black Female 4'02", 75 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing pink pajamas and glasses.

Police are looking for Duran Edward Lyles a Black Male, 5'06", 120 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

The vehicle is described as silver 2003 Chevrolet Venture (mini van) with paper dealer plates from Community Chevrolet.
