Code Amber is provided as a free public service by BigHits.com, Inc. Primary funding is provided by BigHits.com with additional funding provided by companies and individuals through Sponsor Links and Corporate sponsorships, as well as individual contributions.
We receive no government funding or grants. We accept contributions and sponsorships to offset the cost of the Ticker and to provide communications between law enforcement and broadcast media. The Code Amber project is a success as a result of the support of the Web community. As of August 2007, after only five years of operation, Code Amber has displayed over 1,400,000,000 Amber Alert Tickers and reaches over 350,000 web sites and computer desktops every day. Current statistics are displayed in the right hand column of each Code Amber page. A contribution of as little as $1 per month will help keep Code Amber growing.
