Amber Alert Canceled for 7 Year Old South Carolina Boy

The Anderson South Carolina Sheriff's Department canceled the Amber Alert after the boy was found on Tuesday morning. No further information is available at this time.

Hunter Allen Thompson, a white male, 7 yrs. with brown hair and blue eyes, and was wearing a green hooded sweat shirt, dark jeans and tennis shoes, disappeared Monday night from a K-Mart in Anderson, in extreme northwestern South Carolina near the Georgia line, the State Law Enforcement Division said.

Police are reviewing surveillance tapes from the store.

There is no suspect or vehicle information available at this time but police are treating it as a kidnapping.
